Webmistress' Note: The following is reproduced verbatim from Karan Ashley's official site, Grace & Grace, Inc. Entertainment Company, which has apparently vanished off the face of the Web. This was presumably her official bio and filmography as of December 2000, when I saved the information to my hard drive, little knowing that the site was going to evaporate a few years later.

When one meets Karan-Ashley, you are immediately drawn to the positive energy force that surrounds her. This could explain why she was selected over 2 thousand young ladies to be a part of a singing group called KRUSH (Keep Reaching Up Somehow) who were signed to Mega producers— Jimmy Jamm & Terry Lewis' Perspective/A&M Records back in the early nineties. KRUSH was selected out of thousands of groups to be a part of the record endeavor. The group went on to be a part of the Platinum selling "Mo' Money" soundtrack with the hit single "Let's Get Together (So Groovy Now)," still being played in clubs and workout facilities across the country. In the group, Karan served as choreographer which led her to work with the likes of Tina Landon (Janet Jackson's choreographer) on the video for the single. From the success of the group, Karan then had the opportunity to audition for the television show — "The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers." Against 6 thousand young people nationally, Karan was selected to become the Yellow Power Ranger in the #1 children's television show in the world! Karan starred in the show for 3 seasons which also included the hit motion picture release under 20th Century Fox.

Karan's recent departure from the Power Rangers has given her additional opportunities to grow in this industry. From her pivotal role on the "serious" gang episode of "Hanging with Mr. Cooper," to her independent motion picture entitled "Unto Thee," in which she not only stars, but also serves as an Executive Producer and co-writer as well.
